Home lab tests: how they work
You can have your tests taken at home, with no queues or travel. Here is how it works, step by step.
Step by step
- You send your medical order. Upload a photo or PDF in the home exams form or message us on WhatsApp.
- We send you a quote based on the tests on your order. We also message you on WhatsApp.
- We arrange the visit. We schedule the day and time, and a professional comes to your address to collect the sample.
Which tests can be ordered
We work with partner laboratories and offer more than 100 tests, including complete blood count, biochemical profile, liver profile, lipid profile, thyroid function, complete urinalysis, urine culture, glucose and PCR or antigen tests for COVID-19. We also do X-rays and ultrasounds at home. Send us your order and we will confirm whether we can do what you need.
Preparation: fasting and other instructions
Some tests, such as glucose or the lipid profile, usually require fasting. This is general information: the preparation depends on the exact test, so confirm with us when you book. Other useful tips:
- Have your ID or passport and your medical order on hand.
- Tell us which medications you take. Do not stop or change them without your doctor's instructions.
- If the order comes from a specialist, check whether it asks for any special preparation and ask us.
Coverage, timing and prices
Home sample collection is available in Providencia, Ñuñoa, La Reina, Las Condes, Vitacura, Lo Barnechea, Peñalolén, La Florida, Santiago, Macul and Huechuraba. How long results take depends on the test and the laboratory: we confirm it when we collect the sample. Tests are quoted case by case. It is a great option for older adults and people with reduced mobility.
This service is for routine tests and does not replace emergency care.
